Effective 7 October 2026. We collect the information needed to discuss your editing project, and keep that purpose clear.
What we collect
If you use the client portal, we also process account details, source video URLs, uploads, review decisions, revision notes, messages, billing identifiers and access records. Stripe processes your payment details; we do not receive or store full card numbers. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, channel links or handles, optional phone number, selected plan and the time of your inquiry. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, device information and access logs to serve and protect the site. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your inquiry.
Why we use it
We use your information to answer your inquiry, assess your needs, prepare a proposal, provide agreed services and prevent abuse. Where applicable, our legal bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, meeting legal obligations and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing.
Storage and sharing
Inquiries are stored in the website’s hosted database and accessible to authorized people managing ByteSize Clippers. Netlify hosts the application, Supabase provides account authentication, database and private file storage, and Stripe handles payments, recurring billing and invoices. These providers process data to provide those services; we do not sell inquiry information. We may share data with service providers only where necessary, or where legally required. Provider infrastructure may process data outside your country, with appropriate safeguards where required.
How long we keep it
Our retention policy is to review unconverted inquiries and remove or anonymize them within 12 months of the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute or meet legal obligations. Client records are retained as needed to perform the contract and satisfy applicable accounting and legal requirements. Retention is managed by the studio; it is not an automatic promise that all backups disappear immediately.
Cookies and analytics
The public marketing site does not add advertising pixels, third-party analytics or marketing cookies. The client portal uses essential authentication cookies to keep you signed in. Stripe applies its own privacy and cookie practices on hosted payment and billing pages. Fonts and showcase media are served locally. We will update this policy and obtain consent where required before adding optional tracking.
Your choices
You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your information by emailing getshorts@bytesizeclippers.com. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, portability, withdraw consent where relied upon, and complain to a data protection authority. We may need to verify your request and retain records where law requires it.
